Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Hey! I finally got a Thoroughbred colt, hopefully some more soon, and he has a COI of 6.83%. The only bad thing is he has 1 red even though his parents don't, but I can put him up for stud once he ages!

I have a plateau Persian mare I can breed to him. Shes very old so I’ll wait until he’s up for stud!

No worries! I can put him up now. I've also gotten another colt and quite a few fillies, two of them are matured and in my freezer account.

UltimateHonseness wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 10:49 pm There is a guide made by EmiisHeartless on getting your stock to be zero COI while still getting their GP to improve, and in order to maintain that you need 32 horses to start with. 32. 32 wouldn’t be too difficult if it was AC stock, like Arabs, but getting 32 Pavlavans is gonna be… difficult, especially making them unrelated.
Speak of the Devil and he (she) shall appear…

When experimenting with my Icelandic herd, I realized that pretty much any number of grade horses can be introduced into the herd, and the herd will be be back to 100% of the breed you want within… 15 generations or so?

So really, all you need is one horse of the desired breed and 31 grades, and the game will let you increase the percentage of the breed until you’re back up to 100%. It will take A While, but I think it’s worth it, especially when working on a more difficult breed.

Good luck with your horses!
