What recessive(s) did this boy pick up from his parents? Because they are both visually Black.

Flaxen chestnut with snowflakes. So both of his parents carry chestnut - meaning they are Ee at extension, and have a 25% chance to throw a red-based foal when bred together. The other 75% would be black.

Black Snowflake Leopard Tobiano? The black has seemed to lighten as he's gotten older. I adore his snowflakes on his face. Almost looks like he was freckles.
