Back to the game…help?
Hey everyone! This is Enchanted Equine, on a new account. When I logged back in, I realized the whole game is different since I last played. SO, I decided it’s a good time to start over! There’s a lot of new features I’m trying to understand, and some new issues I’ve discovered. The biggest one is I can’t see the protein/fiber/sugar percentages in feed and I also keep getting told by local show judges to make my horse lose weight when she’s labeled as moderate. Any advice, tips, etc very much appreciated!

Re: Back to the game…help?
For some competition types, like racing, the horse should be moderately thin instead of moderate. Some of the other ones prefer moderately fleshy.
The protein/fiber/sugar percentages should be visible as green bars at the bottom of the training tab...? Performance has the lowest sugar among the non-hay feeds, and will make a horse calmer over time, while Weight Gain is the closest to neutral for horses that are already at their ideal temperament for their competition type. Oats, Sweet Feed, and Yellow Corn are the high sugar ones which make the horse become more spirited or high strung.

First, welcome back.Hearts N’ Hooves wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 4:31 pm Hey everyone! This is Enchanted Equine, on a new account. Do you mean the little help pop-up we had before for the feed? That might be something we can suggest to admin to put back in for us.
Personally, I just use the bars to give me an overview when I forget which one is which.
Local judge comments were put in to help us hone our horses more toward their 'perfect performance' range in hosted shows. If they're telling you to make your horse lighter, then either change discipline or drop off some of her feed until the judge is happier with it. This does help them in hosted shows.
Like before, take your time learning how the new version is set up. If you find something that certainly doesn't work for you, larissar is working to make things streamlined for all of us. So let them know and they'll see about making it easier.
Don't forget your grinder in locals (although it certainly seems like you've already remembered). Training horses however, does go a bit differently, so it might be better if you can't recall how you trained before. We can now, officially, train up to 100% in all stats.
COI has had a revamp. We're now capped at visually seeing 100% COI (+100% COI) and we have a hard COI cap at 200%. There's a new formula in use and it's not forgiving. However, it is still straightforward. There is also a 5 generation end rather than a 7 generation end, like before.
Temperament will eventually be linked to bloodline (and birth). We may lose some ability to reach certain temperaments. For instance, any horse born bombproof may never be able to reach spirited. Admin did give us this change, but there was a LOT of player issues with this, so they rolled it back with a warning that it'll return at some point.
They've also revamped the feeding system. So there should be no more feeding error horses (horses that can't change weight and horses that get stuck at certain temperaments). It also seems that our horses are less affected by that 'can't eat enough' thing we had before. Like feeding them alfalfa cubes and we couldn't stuff into them more than 25%. It's a LOT easier to balance their foods now. Although I haven't tried this with minis. So I don't know how easy it'll be for them.
I think those're the most forward points. Just let us know, somebody will help set you right.

Don't forget to check it out!

Hi!
I have quite a few guide short cuts on my page for any other help you might need, they should all be info that has been updated or is being updated since that upgrade of the game.
I also saw that you are raising Shetlands, if you want to have a look at my sale barn i have a lot of pretty Shetty's and we can work on a price if you don't like the one that's on there.
