- Cream on bay will always be a rather golden sheen
- Dun tends to look greyish at most and pretty smooth - the spine, leg markings and cheek+forehead fading is rather obvious when you know to look for it,
- Cream+Dun is a very pale ivory-like color
and
- pangaré just looks like someone glued sand on your poor horse xD

have a look in my pastures if you want to compare the different expressions; my tarps and exmoors cover pretty much all bay, dun, pangare and cr combinations ;)

:D We have a number of genes that can mimic others on this game and they get a hay-load closer than this. 8-)

To take a look at some of our favorites, this post has a lot.

Found this little mare in the AC today.
I'm perplexed by her dunning, shading, and overall color in general.
I know she's red dun, but why is she so interestingly colored lol?

A mixture of her base shade, dun, pangare, and sooty. It's a fairly common coloring for Forests.
