Thanks! We'd love to have you, Devolare. Would you like to judge a particular show or shows, or all five?

Oh, it's okay. The results don't have to be posted until before the day the show ends haha. The show goes on all day, it's just that the people have to be entered for the day's judging. You can even start as soon as entries start coming in too.

Sounds good~

I can try doing all of them. I'm most confident in Hotblood horses, tho.

Lovely then. I'm sure you'll do fine. I've tried to make the metric somewhat simple to use. If you need any help, particularly looking for references to judge a breed or similar, please let me know. I'm hoarding quite a few breed books in game--and I have two horse and pony encyclopedias offline. ^^

Oh dear me, I entirely forgot about time zones. I was sick over the weekend and my brain's not back online either. I suppose Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) would probably make the most sense?
Are we going to use Google Docs for the judges? I think it would be quite useful. And crossbreeds are not allowed, right, if there is more than one breed listed? And then I am not entirely sure on how we are scoring for mane/tail length, how do we know if the mane/tail is too long/short for its breed. How many points must be taken for poor condition (too fat/too thin).

If that works for you, we can use that and I can set up a copy of the entry documents and my scoring/commentary on them so far so they're able for judges to see them (I'll have to figure out a way to keep it private).

Because of demand, I have decided Crossbreeds can have their own class but they must be judged compared to one parent breed. Grades can also be shown if they are a new in-game breed. This may change back in future shows, but I figured it could be acceptable temporarily.

Mane/tail has to do with overall type, my apologies: upright mane versus flat mane, dense versus thin, long-medium-short in length, etc. Basically pulling up pictures of the breed in question, comparing the horse's mane/tail, and making your own decision on how closely it matches the general look of the breed. It's only 1/3 of a possible extra 10 points, so it's not terribly important except in breeds that are known for a specific type of mane/tail.

Okay, thanks! And weight?

Weight of the horse? Well, this would be in #1, looking at the overall horse. A thin draft or fat hotblood wouldn't look as close to their breed standard.

I would love to judge but this weekend is super busy. I want to next time. This time I will try to get some entries in. What is the deadline? And are you allowing wearables?
Thanks for adding the Vanners! :D

Understandable. I am hoping for this to be a monthly occurrence for now, but in the future it may be an every weekend thing (if there's the demand).

The deadline is 12am Friday GMT for Coldbloods and Hotbloods and 12am Saturday GMT for Minis/Ponies and Warmbloods. There might be some wiggle room, but unless the judges have time to look at your horse or pony--no chance of winning.

Wearables are allowed. For the best evaluation, I would suggest a horse not wear them--but I've also been judging pregnant mares. The rope halters don't seem to interfere much, but something might be looked over. On the other hand, a judge might find a horse looking proper for a breed's common discipline a positive. It really may depend on the breed, the wearable, the judge, etc. Having extra pictures of your horse with and without (and when not pregnant lol) would cover all bases.

You are quite welcome. I can't believe I looked over them in the first place. I believe they are listed as Irish Cobs in my book and I didn't see that listed. (I may be relying on the book a bit too much when figuring where each of the breeds in the wiki go. Oops.)

Hello Revenant.
I regret to inform you that I have no time to judge coldbloods, warmbloods and ponies. I don't think I'm any good at judging anyway.
