Just another tiny update on the progress of my strength project. Got my first green strength!

Olympics12

He is wayyyy too ridiculously tiny but I'm too chuffed to care! He's only three generations from foundation as well! Just gotta keep breeding him with my other part breds and soon I should have 100% Kaimanawa ponies with green strength.

Right, where to begin? This strength project is going great. I am really starting to bring out the quality I want, I just need to get the breed back to pure. Got three up and coming horses I think will really have a lot to contribute to the bloodlines. Two mares and a stud all green strength!

Once I get back to purebred I am hoping I can get some really nice horses with confo under 10 for Marohirohi.

Haven't updated in a wee while so here I am! I have finished the second family, Marohirohi. This is the family of strength as you may recall so all these horses have a focus on their strength stat. I was so pleased with the way this family turned out stat-wise. Not entirely so pleased with how they turned out looks-wise but I think once I get the whole herd moving forward as one unit everything will even out. As before, I will run through each individual horse. You can find their links above under Marohirohi or you can have a look at the pasture they're being stored in here.
Whaea Tuatahi o Marohirohi (First Mother of Marohirohi)
Silver Bay (A/n E/n Z/n)
"This mare is as strong as a bull." (Green)
Confo +16
Thoughts: This mare was one confo point above my threshold but because she has such a great strength comment I was happy to welcome her in as the first mare of this family. She will mature out about 3 hands too short than preferred at 9.3hh and at 100% pony type she's about 40% too pony for my taste.

Whaea Tuarua o Marohirohi (Second Mother of Marohirohi)
Silver Bay (A/n E/n Z/n)
"This looks to be a good, strong mare." (Green}
Confo +14
Thoughts: This mare has a lower confo with a really good comment. She will mature around 9hh (3.3 hands too short than preferred) and her type is not much better than the mare above at 97%.

Whaea Tuatoru o Marohirohi (Third Mother of Marohirohi)
Bay (A/n E/n)
"This looks to be a good, strong mare." (Green)
Confo +14
Thoughts: This mare is identical to the mare above, stats wise. Looks-wise she comes out a little taller at 12hh, being only 3 inches shorter than preferred. Her tpe is the same as the mare above, 97% pony.

Papara o Marohirohi (Father of Marohirohi)
Chestnut (e/e)
"This colt is as strong as a bull." (Green)
Confo +6
Thoughts: This guy is definitely the highlight of this project. At +6 he is the lowest confo green strength horse I have seen with this comment and the lowest I have seen full stop on the game so far. There may be others out there with lower confo but I would guess they would be few and far between. He will mature short, probably under 11hh and he is 100% pony type.

Whaea Te Wha o Marohirohi (Fourth Mother of Marohirohi)
Flaxen Chestnut (e/e f/f)
"This mare has very powerful legs and, in turn, is very strong." (Green)
Confo +16
Thoughts: Not a bad comment, confo on the high side but at this stage I was eager to wrap up this project as I am confident I have the genes I need. Mature height will be around 12hh and she's 98% pony type.

Whaea Tuarima o Marohirohi (Fifth Mother of Marohirohi)
Silver Bay (A/n E/n Z/n)
"This mare is as strong as a bull." (Green)
Confo +16
Thoughts: This mare is identical to the first mare stat-wise. She will mature out to around 13.1hh, making her the only horse in this family to actually fit within my height parameters. No such luck with type though as she is 99% pony.

So there you have it, my second foundation family! As far as stats go this is the family I am most proud of, but in terms of looks this is the family I'm least proud of. Next I will actually be doing two families at once, Manawataki (Tempo) and Taurite (Balance). I will not be too fussy with these two, I just want (hopefully) green stats with +5 or less confo.

Just wanted to do a brief update and let everyone know that the Manawataki and Taurite families are complete. More information to come on them soon. In the mean time I have started on the Mohio family which will be a very brief project before I move onto the last piece of the puzzle, the Humarie family.
