Breeding question
I am trying to breed a Norman cob and Drifting Kiss
has the correcting breeding for it however is a "half Belgian" if I were to cross her to another half Belgian of the same breeding would there be a chance of a Norman cob foal

Re: Breeding question
If it reads Half X or Part X or Mixed X, you can use it as a purebred.

Re: Breeding question
No, because she is a half Belgian not [ Tarpan x Belgian ] x [ Forest Horse x Belgian ]. You'd have to treat her as Belgian and cross her back to a Tarpan or Forest Horse if you wanted to use hercareless wrote:I am trying to breed a Norman cob and Drifting Kiss![]()

Re: Breeding question
That is her breed makeup, but the name is what matters in this context. You have to treat a Half Belgian as a Belgian no matter what her breed makeup. You will not have even a remote chance of getting a Norman Cob if you breed her to another horse with the same breeding.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!

Re: Breeding question
Maybe if you breed the foal to another Norman Cob?

Re: Breeding question
Then you'd have a Part Norman Cob x Belgian, the Half Belgian is a Half Belgian, not a Norman CobCrystalPlayer wrote:Maybe if you breed the foal to another Norman Cob?
