Do the Lp/patn markings show more loudly on red based horses?

If they modeled it after real life, and I suspect they did, then yes. Black horses tend to suppress white patterns more than red based horses. And not just LP, all white patterns. (As do mares, since testosterone tends to increase white patterns, not sure if this is part of the game or not.)

Katja wrote:My dark appaloosa project is crawling. All of my adoption center mares were Ee heterozygotes, so it took me forever to get an E_ colt out of them since nearly 100% of the appy's available are ee or carry agouti. As it is, I have:

Interstellar Zombie

I have some black and brown based LP's I could put up for stud if you need some new studs to use. I'll go get their links and post them.

My black/brown based stallions/colts. If anyone wants to use one, let me know. I'll put whichever up for stud, if he isn't already.

Wildfire Theory - brown snowflake snowcap

Frozen Tenderness - blue roan snowflake

(unnamed) - brown dun roan snowflake

Velvet Engraving - grullo snowflake snowcap

I also have a number of bay based stallions, if anyone is interested, I can post them as well.

Yes well that's what only just occurred to me, would explain why most of the more loudly ones bred so far are red based

I would say its a Silver Bay, but still a little early to tell completely. Shetlands produce Silver manes and tails, at least my other account's Shetland is.

Sure looks silver bay to me, best way to tell is when they are young on the spotted ones. As they age it's harder to tell what the original colour was. I've use Rustic Trick myself and gotten quite a few silvers from him

Trying to get the Leopard pattern?? lol I'm trying to get my heard to be at least Half Appaloosas...and then from there work towards full appaloosas...but until then I'm just having fun with the patterns and such! Ash long as it has the Appaloosa in the horse.
