Number beside Breed

What does the number beside the breed mean. Some have +5, some have +11, what does that number mean?

It indicates how many direct, pure-bred generations the horse has of the stated breed. For instance, Arabian +2 means that your horse is third generation purebred arabian. Or Grade, it will also recognize grade horses as 'purebred'.
