More Pasture Options

Post by Warband »

Hello guys,

So In my current business I like to have lots of horses, which means lots of pastures. The issue with lots of pastures is the fact that one large pasture can really only hold about 7-10 horses before the quality shoots down for grazing. Not only this but only 6 breeding mares can ever be in a pasture at one time. This gets annoying when you have 20 some mares that you dont want to keep weeding out every few seconds.

Suggestion #1
(already suggested, thought I would expand?)
I'm suggesting either one of two things for the pastures problem.
1) Add X large pastures that can hold 15-18 horses, and Hugh pastures that could hold 22-25 horses.
2) Expanding the already in place pastures by adding more horse room.

Suggestion #2

I also would like to suggest a possible fix for the pony breeding. Since ponies are small and feed less on grains and grass, why not have their body count be half? Instead of 4 horses for a small pasture, 8 ponies could be in a pasture? This would pretty much be any horse labeled as a pony, or under 14HH. This also would put a little more strain on the pasture so the quality ratio could dip faster if not cared for properly.

Suggestion #3

Horse safe field fertilizer. I'd love to be able to spread some fertilizer over some of my fields that carry lots of horses. The grazing quality drops a lot during the winter and fall months and I'd like to be able to combat it some with fertilizers. As well as when I buy new fields the % is at 0, and i'd like to use it faster then half a year later.

Suggestion #4

Rotation of the meadows to squares. I find it more and more difficult to properly place my pastures because of the diamond texture they have. I think if I could do it as a square I could put more distance between two pastures rather then putting them on top of each other.

Suggestion #5

Breed only pastures. We have it for shows, we can have it here. I like to buy up horses all the time, but sometimes they try to hide in my Cleveland Bay pastures. I would love if we could have breed specific pastures that we can put in place, so that only my Cleveland go into my Cleveland tabs, and the ones I buy go into the open pastures.

Thanks For reading.
