Locking Names for horses with foals on the ground
I really wish there was a way to lock in names of a horse or that it wasn't as easy to change names of horses with foals on the ground. It is really frustrating when you need to sell a horse to continue building and improving a line to end up with foals with sires/dams named broodmare, skiller, or something else that ruins the pedigree that you are trying to create.
I know that there was talk of registered horses names being locked, but this would be a nice feature for all horses with foals.

Or that you could assign a prefix that is part of your farm to the horses. That way you could brand them and people could still give them different namesWinter'sDay wrote:I really wish there was a way to lock in names of a horse or that it wasn't as easy to change names of horses with foals on the ground. I like the idea of brands, I think locking names would be too limiting, but brands are a good ideaWILD FLICKA wrote: Or that you could assign a prefix that is part of your farm to the horses. That way you could brand them and people could still give them different names

I have to agree with this one. I don't like selling members of my more prized stock because I don't know who will buy them. Most tend to be good at keeping the brand in the horses name but not all.
