Breed requirements

Is there a way to see the requirements for creating a new breed, other than buying the breed book? The Breeds Wiki gives the genetic recipe and height, but not the build, type etc. Since many of the breeds allow quite a margin in the requirements, I'd love to be able to steer my breeding programs towards the needed conformation like three steps ahead, but the inventory isn't made of rubber, and too many books on the evaluation list gets confusing.
