Trying to Choose a New Breed

Post by Kayaine »

So I'm working through my lines of foundation horses at the moment, but after that, I want to focus on a new breed. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd like a more underrepresented breed than the arabs I breed now. Preferably one that doesn't have many good horses, so that my work can actually improve the breeding pool. Also preferably a breed that can be used by players on their way to other breeds.

So what would everyone like to see? Any suggestions?

What about Spanish Jennet or Spanish Barb? Both have less than 200 population and looking at the studs available in those breeds it looks like there's plenty of room for improvement. They also go into the creation of a fair number of breeds. Spanish Jennet goes directly into the creation of ten breeds (including Spanish Barb) and Spanish Barb goes directly into the creation of 24 breeds.

You can try your hand at Canadian Horses! As far as I know, I'm the only one actually breeding a decent amount of them and my stock can be found in a lot of Canadian Pacers/Standardbreds if you go back far enough. Currently 42 in game ( and I honestly think about 30~ of those are my own x.x) and 3 at stud

I'd really appreciate fresh stock that unrelated to my own! Fairly easy to make I think. [Andy x Norman Cob] x [Arab x Breton]

Canadians also help the producing of Standardbreds and Saddlebreds which produce a whole range of breeds!
