Help me choose a breed
Hi. I'm new to the community, I just joined yesterday and I'm really excited! I chose forest horses to be my Progen breed and I adore them but I don't see their genetics going too far and I would love to see a breed where I see results when I breed instead of the offspring looking bland?? Does anyone have any suggestions on what breed I should go for?

Re: Help me choose a breed
I think it would be great if you took on the Suffolk Punch breed! They are very rare, I am the person who first made the breed(on my other player, Neon) but I don't have time for two projects anymore and have already begun to give them away.

Re: Help me choose a breed
I'd say it depends on what you want to do in this game. If you want to breed horses to sell, you should go for one of the popular breeds. If you don't care about that, you could take a rarer breed someone has already created and work on improving this breed. Or you could create your own breed. The breeds wiki is very helpful in figuring out which breeds already exist and which of them are popular and which are rare: http://www.horseworldonline.net/wiki/breeds

Re: Help me choose a breed
Even Forest Horses can be non-bland! I worked hard to reach Mangalarga Marchador and now, I'm breeding to improve their conformation. Their offspring are not especially athletic, but they aren't bland either. I have a small section of the farm reserved for bringing new genetic into the herd through crossbreeding too.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!

In this game, genetics can never be too bland! No, but seriously, you can spice up Forest Horses as much as you want. I know they start out pretty standard, but say you want a palomino forest horse, go find a palomino horse, breed with a forest horse until you get a palomino cross. Breed that cross back with another pure forest horse until you get a palomino and you get a 80% forest horse. Breed that horse to another forest horse for a palomino and get an 88% and breed one more time to get a purebred palomino Forest Horse! You can spice up colors and genetics that way! You can search for some of the interesting traits to breed into your line such as specific colors or silver or flaxen genes, or even tiger eye. Then just breed for whatever you want. You can even breed them to be tiny and compete them at In-Hand Jumping! ( I bred a line of tiny Arabians that do this on my 2nd account.DarkWolfArises wrote:Hi. And if you want to breed them to share with other people, you can do all of the above! Hope this helps, but feel free to ping me if you have any questions!

you can add any color coats or marking into the forest breed DarkWolfArises if you so choose to as well as markings, all you have to do is introduce a different breed and keep crossing until forest horse becomes pure line again
