Where to next...

Post by CarouselCowgirl »

Hi guys!

I took a break from the game for a couple months, but I am about to start playing again. I seem to binge play this game then have to take a break for a while lol.

But anyways, I was breeding for sooty dapple coloring when I left. I'd like to continue doing that for a little while, but I'd like to add a different breed to try to get the dapples in to.

Any suggestions on a breed? I'd like it to be a breed that would get used a lot, preferably for creating different breeds so that the dapples get spread all over. I'd like it to be a fairly common breed. I want to avoid breeds with a lot of dun, grey, and leopard complex if possible...

I have one Spanish Barb stud who has gotten a lot of action as there doesn't appear to be too many up for stud, so perhaps some Spanish Barbs?

I actually did a study on this. Besides the ancient breeds/ancient breed crosses, the purebreds with the most breed offspring are as follows. I call them "important breeds" because of how many breeds they influence. Numbers beside their names are the number of breeds they help create.

76 - Thoroughbred
29 - Andalusian
24 - Spanish Barb
17 - Percheron
16 - Anglo-Arabian
15 - Norfolk Trotter
13-- Trakehner
12 - Friesian
12 - Hackney
11 - Sorraia
10 - Quarter Horse
10 - Spanish Jennet
10 - Russian Don

Oh thanks for this Revenant! Hmmm TBs, Andalusians, or Spanish Barbs would all be good breeds.

I'd be very interested in working with you to spread the dapple gene! I've already started trying to get it into my Andalusian herd (thanks to your old post that I stumbled upon). Let me know if you'd like me to open up any of my boys to stud for you!
And best of luck!

That would be awesome! Is there a pm system? I know there used to be, but I just looked around to pm you and couldn't find a way.

Thanks! I used to be upgraded, and used the pm system back then. I plan to upgrade again soon. :)
