Changing colors?

I have a filly about a year old, who was a sandy brown, and now I'm starting to see lightened spots and her coat is slightly lighter? Is she becoming a silver dapple? The sire was a silver dapple if that helps. I recently had a new colt, the same sandy brown...might the same thing happen to him as well? Im quite sorry if this is a stupid question...Thanks for any replies!
