Appaloosa Pattern

Post by Sisenna »

So, I like to get as accurate with colors as I can, and I just bred this chestnut spotted filly:

My question is: can her spot pattern be considered near leopard? I'm iffy about it because I think she doesn't have quite enough white on her, but when I googled pictures I did see some appaloosas labelled near leopard with about as much white as she has and I really don't know what else to call her other than a vague "chestnut appaloosa".

Any assistance will be much appreciated!

I'd just probably call her blanket if you wanted an actual term, maybe not quite enough pattern for leopard or near leopard, but simply 'spotted' works for me too!
