Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.

What is a Grade Horse?
Can someone please explain what a Grade Horse is and how do you use them and breed them?
thank you

Re: What is a Grade Horse?
A Grade Horse is a horse with so many different breeds in his pedigree that he can't be categorized as any.
How to use them?
I guess you could - if the Grade Horse appears good in conformation. breeder's report, LS or competitions - try to purify his lines. As an example:
I have a Grade Horse with Arabian, Friesian, Mongolian, Turkemene and TB blood. He's a very good show horse, and I want offspring of him that are Arabian. Then I breed him to an Arabian, get a foal, breed that to an Arabian and repeat until it can be categorized as a pure Arabian.
Of course there is no guarantee as this game, like real life, rolls a dice to determine which traits the offspring inherit.
You could also just breed a Grade Horse and continue with Grade Horses. :)

Re: What is a Grade Horse?
thank you very much. Now i see why there was a 100% Grade Horse in the line of a horse whose line i was following back.

Re: What is a Grade Horse?
The overall Rankings, listing the top competitors among all living horses in this game, shows great genetic diversity. There are often grades in it as well as foundations (any horse with "unknown" breeder), purebreds, mixes, parts, and crosses. I find this delightful!
Some "grades" are attempts at creating a complex breed, and the foal didn't quite fulfill the requirements. Darnit, some of them are just an inch or single percentage point away from, for examples, Thoroughbred, Standardbred, etc.
What would a grumpy horse emoticon look like?
