Classification on breed mixes

Maybe I'm just tired and thinking about this wrong. But how did this these horses end up the breed they are? How can they possible be Kathiawari x Arabian [50%] when their mother is Part Arabian x Kathiawari [55%] and their father Part Kathiawari x Turkmene [55%]. They should only have like 25% arabian in them, right?

As far as I understand it, this ( Kathiawari x Arabian [50%]) means they are 50% kathiawari with some arab.

Correct. The percentage only refers to the first listed breed.
