Is it possible for horses to get sick or too old and pass on?

Re: Older Horses
Sick, no.
Our horses earn the chance to 'pass onward to greener pastures' on their 17th birthday. From that moment, every turn you take, the chance grows. Our horses will never reach 100% chance to pass onward however. This chance at each turn only ever increases... think 99.9999999......%.
Most of the horses appear to pass onward between their 22nd to their 25th year. There have been plenty enough make it easily to their 27th years and onward. I have had one horse pass onward on their 17th and 2 week year and one that passed on their 17th birthday (I think). But I've also had two stallions that lasted to their 29th year and their 31st year.
No mare will pass onward while pregnant. However, they can pass onward on the day they give birth. Using this method, a number of us have been able to keep our mares preggers for well into their thirties. I think the oldest mare ever was 69 when she passed. Recently there was a 47? year old mare that somebody had.

Re: Older Horses
How do you 'keep a mare pregnant'? Don't they age with all of your other horses each turn?
