Active players

Post by UltimateHonseness »

I’ve been playing for a few months and one thing I’ve noticed is the forums are quiet lol. I’ve started hosting contests to spice things up. Another thing though is breeders, it’s really hard to keep track of active breeders and find other breeders that are actually online frequently that have similar goals. For example I was trying to help someone find a Norfolk Trotter breeder because they needed more Norfolks and their mare was aging and not giving them the new breed they wanted. I did find a few breeders, but all had last been online years ago :(
In addition to that I see a lot of people, especially newbies, fizzle out because there’s simply no one to talk to. You get online, you take your turns, and you leave. It’s a lonely existence 😅
So I was wonder if we could start an active breeders/players group, perhaps in the breeding communities area for people to chat and get help for their projects and find active people faster, as well as liven up gameplay a bit. I’m posting this idea here to see what you guys think and if it’s popular enough we could do it! I just want to do something about the quiet I’ve felt here for a while

I like this and can relate to a lot of the issues you mentioned here. Especially the part about not being able to get contact with inactive breeders! :)

Yep! I spend a lot of time browsing the playerbase and looking at farms while I wait for turns. I’ve seen tones of beautiful ranches with valuable horses but the owners haven’t been online in years sadly
I was thinking of creating a thread in the breeding communities forum where active people (people that login at least once a month) can chat to liven things up a bit. And it’d be a way for people to introduce themselves and find others with common goals. I also think if we can get it active enough it’ll help keep people coming back, because HWO burnout is real

That’s great!! Have you checked out the COI guide by EmiisHeartless? It explains how to create a stable collection of horses to mantain zero COI, I’m guessing you have because the horses I trained for you were labeled like the horses in the guide. Faeros pony is nice! If you follow the COI guide you’ll get high GP low COI ponies in no time!

Good idea!
I think a lot of people are waiting for the art update and will come back when it launches.
Also we have plans to make it easier for new players with an update coming after the art.
There is a Discord server as well if anyone would like to chat. You can find the link by Community > Chat Room. (The game has been around a long time, we used to call them chat rooms, lol)

I was thinking the same thing. I would like an in-game way to just keep track of active breeders. Maybe an "active players breeding directory", something that players can keep updated, saying what they are up to, and also works as a catalog.

I'm also an active breeder! :D I'm breeding high HGP Arabians and Part Arabians (crossed with Thoroughbreds) for endurance. I'm also breeding high HGP black Arabians and Part Arabians (also crossed with TBs) for endurance.

Hi! I'm a active player too! I breed APQH, BHH, Dole trotter and horses for log pull and in hand jumping, but my big focus is endurance.

I think farm logs was meant to be a way to show what you're doing and active people would be on the front page more. viewforum.php?f=17
