My foals in my stable don’t get enough food help

Post by UltimateHonse2 »

I have a barn that I put some horses in to keep track of a breeding project. But the foals born in that barn never get enough feed because the quantity maxes out, how do I fix this? I’ve tried just feeding them normally but they still get fatigued and I guess I’m wasting food and money

Remember you don't need to concern yourself over obesity or starvation. Only training and maintaining for competitions affects these horses. Foals born into a barn are suggested to be put into a pasture for at least the first 8 months (or so) of their life. Really large foals can still starve a bit even if they're the only one's in their own lush pasture.

Between 8 months and a year, they may be able to eat exclusively weight gain in the barn and not suffer from it. But there may also be some weird turns in the early to mid yearling year, where they can't eat enough again. Once a horse has hit it's second year, they should be fine in the barn on some sort of food.
