Hi. Can someone please explain why my points have been being deducted and added back while I'm working with my horses today?

is there a guide somewhere that maybe explains how points are earned and what they're deducted for?

What points are you talking about? If you mean XP, that's a visual thing I think. Nothing is actually happening
