Breed Creation Question
I'm trying to create a Dutch Warmblood and one of the breeds that goes into making this horse is the Gelderlander. I followed the breed creation guide and now that my "Gelderlander" foal is born he is labeled as grade. Shouldn't he be labeled as a Gelderlander?
Here's the horse I'm talking about:

Re: Breed Creation Question
When trying to create a new breed, it is never 100% sure that you’ll actually make that breed, even if the parents are the correct breeds and have perfect evaluations for the breed you are trying to create. You seem to have done everything right, but sometimes it just takes a few tries to get the breed you want.

I guess I'll just have to try again then. Thanks for the reply!Emiisheartless2 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 9:03 am When trying to create a new breed, it is never 100% sure that you’ll actually make that breed, even if the parents are the correct breeds and have perfect evaluations for the breed you are trying to create. Re: Breed Creation Question
In case you didn't already know, your norfolk x andalusian mare is rated N/A for gelderlander which I think will make it very unlikely it will result in a gelderlander! I have heard both parents should be evaluated over a 3 for the breed to work. The sire is a 3* though so he's good! Sorry if i am wrong, good luck!
I was also wondering, I noticed that same sire horse is in your "sale" pasture. I was wondering how much it would be for me to possibly purchase him?

Re: Breed Creation Question
Yeah, when I was creating the crossbreeds, I didn't realize how important the breed evaluations were.
By sire horse do you mean "Paladin"? If so, I'd be willing to sell him for $200.
Btw where I am its past midnight, so I won't be able to get back to you until later tomorrow. I should really be in bed right now lol.
Thanks!
