Question about “Private” Studs

While trying to create a Dutch Warmblood I’ve filled in some of the puzzle pieces but I’m missing one, the Oldenburg. I need an Oldenburg stud to breed to my Arabian mare “Aurora”. One stud never has enough energy to breed so my only other option is this one stud labeled “PRIVATE”. I’m newer to this game and I’m just wondering if someone could explain how private studs work.

Private studs are those working on breeding goals from two different accounts. They're hoping that the community will acknowledge the fact that they don't want people breeding to their studs for numerous reasons.

What I can suggest is to make contact with the owner of that stud and ask if you can breed to them. Many of the players will acknowledge your request and allow breeding.

Please be careful about using private studs as misusing them (breeding to them without getting permission) can result in you losing trust with that player or also with the community (you can lose access to other services and help down the road).

I'm glad I asked as it sounds like things can get sticky if you breed without the owner's permission. Thanks for the explanation!
