Fendy | Road to North Sweden!
Road to the North
At a random moment in 2018, I came across HWO and created an account. At first, I had no real idea what race I wanted to be involved with, what my goals were or how the game worked.
I started breeding high genetics within the Thoroughbred and Arabian breeds. Eventually somewhere I made the choice to start breeding North Swedish Horses, with the option to continue breeding with the North Swedish Trotter later. At that time, both breeds were far from popular on HWO and only a few horses were available.
Last week I lurked again and came across my old project with the North Swedish Horses; however, everything is hugely related to each other so I tried to form a new line via Dole blood, something that ultimately failed due to no pure Dole blood available; but what did succeed was expanding a North Swedish Trotter line of my own.
At this moment my line has exploded and except for some side-project with friends, my entire stable is full of North Swedish Trotters. I wanted to open a topic in order to keep track of my progress, and above all to motivate myself to continue to reach different goals!
There are currently 144 North Swedish Trotters in the game of which I have bred 76 in the past few days.
North Swedish Trotter book went from 144 horses --> 161! horses!
North Swedish Trotter book went from 144 horses --> 161! horses!

My ultimate goals:
Pure Northern Swedish Trotters with a 5/5 rating for the breed
May not have negative stats (red) in conformation: As many as possible gold/greens.
Must have a Tiger-Eye, that is, a green eye color.
Must be in possession of Flaxen genes, among others.
Extra: Adding Tobiano / Frame and Appaloosa genes into my herd. Most ideal would be a completely white head.
Time to show some horses!

My first ever North Swedish Trotter on HWO: bred from a Thoroughbred x North Swedish Horse!
Fendi' OMG!!

One of my first Silver genes( i think ) that entered my herd, as far as i know of!
Fendi' Hot N' Trot

The stallion that started it all, i even used him again to breed the green-ish Tiger Eye back in my new herd of Trotters.
I am still not sure what his color is exactly; but i love it, and he's perfect to me. I love his look and his type.
Standing at 48K GP he is not too bad for the horses bred back then but there is ofcourse room for improvement!
He is also a 5/5 perfect score for the North Swedish Trotter breed so to me he's the look i am going for!
Fendi' Dawn N' Dust

I never really got a good son out of Dawn but he sired me one of the best fillies i could have wished for at the begin of 2025; this was when i picked my line of Trotters back up. Basically throwing me a perfect copy of him, only in chestnut color. This was also when i found the flaxen gene back in my herd and nowadays i barely have anything other than Flaxen Chestnuts; pretty neat if you ask me! it was absolutely a must to keep the green eye in my line so all horses without tiger-eye were retired!
At a lower GP of 45K, but again with the perfect 5/5 North Swedish Trotter Score and green eyes i aim for!
Fendi' Amber

After breeding a somewhat larger herd of Trotters, I started breeding for better GP. The horses I started breeding with had about 35-40K GP at that time.
After much selective breeding the average of my herd is now around 50-55K GP and I am still working hard to increase this to the 60K and above.
By now almost all of my Flaxen herd is also Flaxen Chestnut or Chestnut with green eyes without any other color. After achieving the 50k GP, I started adding Tobiano in my herd since i love white on horses and my chestnut are very plain :3
Tobiano I added through horses from the adoption center. I got half Trotters with Tobiano, and continued breeding them until I was back to a pure North Swedish Trotter.
I wanted more white, so started combining these horses to see if a larger pattern was possible. From that, on January 2, my Trotter “Surpise” was born!
Fendi' Surprise

He meets the North Swedish Trotter on 3/5 points so I am working hard to breed this variant of Tobiano back to the 5/5.
In addition to working on adding more Tobiano, I have also taken on the challenge of adding Frame and possibly Appaloosa to my line; this will take a bit more work as Frame doesn't really want to succeed yet. We will, of course, just keep going!
Besides adding more white, my next mission is to tap the 60K GP mark with most of my herd in the meantime!
