Competition Update Question

Post by Fallon »

With the new competition system where a horse's total fitness training determines its minimum competition level, how will world records from level 1-3 now function? Currently, world records at those levels are all held by fully trained horses, as they were achieved under the old competition system. This suggests then, that under the new system, those records will remain unbreakable.

From what I understand about the new competition update, the only workaround would be to compete an untrained, high-potential horse in level 1 ten times while intentionally avoiding podium finishes. This way, the minimum competition level of the horse is defaulted to be calculated under the old points-per-start system, at which point, you can then fully train the horse and still be eligible to compete them under level 4. But this feels more like an exploitative loophole of the new system instead of what is actually intended.

Just curious if there is any way to address this potential gap, or is my assumption correct that world records at level 1 through 3 may now be out of reach under the new system?

We will have to take a look at it and find the best solution. It could be as simple as only displaying results from horses born after the change. We will try to fix any loopholes as well! :)
