What color is he?
This one really has me baffled
He was brown when he was born, so I believed that he was going black... He did for a short period of time, but now he's turning brownish again?
What's the deal with him

Re: What color is he?
Your horse is black, but he's also got snowflake spots which seem to lighten up his coat a bit.

Re: What color is he?
Aha! So when they are "snowflaked", they are a little lighter in the coat? Do you know if that's the case on all colours or just the blacks?
Thanks for your answer, I'm still new at this

Re: What color is he?
Any variations of the Leopard Complex seem to lighten mane & tail. Look at these guys:
A Bay

A Chestnut

A Red Dun

Leopard Complex is still very new in the game.
In this thread, Larissa says that "any horse carrying the LP gene will Varnish Roan", so that's what I'm guessing this has to do with. Or it could possibly be the "Appaloosa Bronzing" directly below that.

Thank you! I just became a little wiser than before
