Too tall for competition?
Ok I've never really done competitions, just been breeding the breeds I wanted but thought it was time to try! I had a look for a suitable event but got the message too tall for this type of competition. What does that mean? There are no height restrictions on the actual event?
In-Hand Jumping Age: 1 - 4 years
Gender: Mares, Stallions & Geldings Level 1
I was trying to enter a 1 and a half year old Gypsy Vanner, and then I tried a heap of other horses but got the same message with all of them. Even with a 10.2hh pony LOL

Re: Too tall for competition?
My 9.1hh Shetland gets that message as well, yet I've shown her in it before and she's at Level 10.
Does anyone know what the cut off is, please?
This is her, I doubt she's grown taller since I entered her in competitions yesterday.

Re: Too tall for competition?
So she somehow just grew too much? She was doing really well in In-Hand
Oh well, never mind.

Re: Too tall for competition?
Were you showing her before age 5? Horses reach adult height at 5.

So what size can you show in hand jumping?
