Anecdotal info about age most horses pass on?
I searched and found in an update post dated October 2014 that horses were set to pass on in their early to mid twenties. I have had several pass on in their 20th year, and only one of about a dozen of my horses that have passed have made it to 23 before going. So I think that mid-twenties upper border seems overly optimistic, from my own experience. At what age do you expect your horses to pass on?
I'm trying to tread a fine line between cramming as much training as possible before moving my performance horses over to Valhalla, and making sure they (and my investment in training time) don't just disappear in the blink of an eye during that final training. Has anyone had a horse pass on before 20? At 20 exactly? Before 20+2 weeks? Looking for input from people who have had a large number of horses and have had time to observe trends. Thanks!

I keep a fairly large herd. Have never had a horse pass before 20, that I remember, but have had a few pass right at 20. I've also had some live into their mid-late 20s. Average for my herd seems to be mid 20s.

Most of mine die between 19 and 22 years it seems like.

I had one pass at exactly 20yo today, but most seem to be between 20 and 21

Ouch! See, that's my experience too...that the horses pass mostly at the age of between 20 and 21. That makes it really hard to get them fully trained before it becomes too risky to let them age further. Is this a bug, since it's been stated that the game is set to have most horses age at least to early or mid twenties before passing?

I will post this in the bug forum
