Local shows will be your farm's bread-and-butter earnings.dressage_queen420 wrote:Basically what the title says, I'm broke and have been struggling lol
I never recommend using a horse in player-made competitions until you know your horse can perform in them (and maybe have some money that you can afford to lose at first).
But if you find a low-entry fee, high-pot & low level competition, and your horse is trained up for that discipline, there's no real harm in giving it a try in that competition.
I would suggest that you request a grinder for your farm. A grinder is a fully trained horse that can earn maximum monies in local shows. These earnings will also be enough to purchase your next grinder when the first one gets old (as well as paying for basic upkeep and some small upgrades as you go, if you're good with your monies). And if you're lucky, your grinder may also be able to compete successfully in lower level player-made competitions.
Also, feel free to ask for a donation to the community at large if you're desperate. We don't want to see any of our players struggling (at least not too hard

There are also a number of other topics you may find useful pertaining to money and earnings, in my quicklinks.

Player-made competitions are tough, even on the low levels. And even for players that have been playing for a long time.
You may find in-hand jumpers and some of the western competitions a little less competitive than others. Any of the racing disciplines are generally really, really tough and that goes for log pulling as well.
