What Do You Want To See?
I quite often struggle to get or find what I need for my breedings, for instance my Warmbloods are requiring quite a bit of BS but the breeds needed to create them, such as TBs and Arabians are much lighter than I need in my plans. Of course you can continually part and mix breed to maybe get the right evaluation needed, but this may use more advance breeds that there aren't many available of (such as a Spanish Barb), and would be a lengthy process to breed more of.
So, I have started experimenting with foundation and more commonly available breeds to produce something a bit different. So far I've used some Belgian blood to create NABs that are taller and stockier so they can be used in my Warmblood projects, and I've created TBs with Belgian and Caspian blood so they are smaller and stockier and can be used in my native pony projects. I've also mixed some Belgian in to my Hanovarians as I was struggling to find horses with enough BS to produce East Friesians.... Then I ended up breeding lots of them!
So, what sort of studs would people like to see available that may help towards breeding projects? I hope to create some heavier Arabians, again for Warmblood projects, but I'm open to other suggestions if I feel something might be a good project
