Driving Competition Corrections
I've been watch driving competition videos, and I I'm seeing the same error in stat requirements for Marathon and Obstacle driving as I pointed out earlier in Driven Dressage, namely that Strength is overvalued. I'd even argue that it isn't a necessity in any of these three sports as the carriages used are light and maneuverable and other attributes outweigh the need for strength. You can see video of each type of competition here: http://www.americandrivingsociety.org/combined.asp
I believe Agility > Intelligence > Stamina > Speed/Strength would be more appropriate for Marathon, and Balance > Agility > Speed > Strength/Intelligence would be more appropriate for Obstacles.
I believe Agility > Intelligence > Stamina > Speed/Strength would be more appropriate for Marathon, and Balance > Agility > Speed > Strength/Intelligence would be more appropriate for Obstacles.

Re: Driving Competition Corrections
If you look at this image of ideal body types for different sports, the build represented as perfect for Marathon and Obstacles are much heavier than any competitive horse in either of these disciplines could reasonably be. Most Combined Driving horses are warmbloods, not drafts.

Help menu, help guides, Seina's Extensive User Guide.
Scroll down to the 'Entering Competitions' section.
It's in blue right below larissar's quote (p1, p2)

Re: Driving Competition Corrections
I agree with Argent II's finding, even though my Heavy Pony type SideKick has benefited (perhaps unduly) from this.
See my post "What Is Strength?" for a related issue.

Re: Driving Competition Corrections
This definitly needs to be looked over, in Log pull I see strength as a vital thing, but marathon/obstacle and dressage driving has less to do with strength and much more to do with speed, agility, balance and so forth
