Evaluating Breeders
If I understand correctly, I can use Half- and Part-breeds in "breeding recipes" as if they were pure. Is that right?
My next question: Is it possible for offspring to be outside the range of the parents in their evaluation criteria? For example, if I have a 15.2 hh and a 15.1 hh pair, is it possible for their offspring to be under 15.1 or over 15.2 hands?
Thanks!

Re: Evaluating Breeders
Yes, and of course.

Re: Evaluating Breeders
Yay! My breeding project no longer looks impossible -- merely difficult. Thanks!

Re: Evaluating Breeders
I got so excited, I posted from my other account, Then, I thought of something else: Part- and Half-breeds can be used like Pures, but what about crosses where one breed is the one I need and the other isn't? Will that still work for a recipe?

Re: Evaluating Breeders
Seina's Extensive User Guide (found in the Help Guides section of the Help menu) states:
"you don't need to have purebred horse if recipe states for example only "Arabian". You can use Half Arabian or Part Arabian, but it can't be for example Half Arabian x Baladi."

Thanks, Fox13, I missed that in my read-throughs of the guide. That tidbit may save me a lot of heartache.
