Mealy Bay?

Post by Alice Keegan »

I believe that's the correct color for him, I just haven't seen it with so much white before!
The father is a greying dunskin and the mother is chestnut.

NOTE: It seems he's getting darker as he's getting older (something I pretty much expected), so if you want to see the amount of white I'm talking about you may need to go into his gallery and look at his newborn pic.

He will probably darken out. His mother looks a tiny bit mealy, but I could be mistaking.

I have had loads of foals with the same newborn coat as yours, and they've all darkened out :)

So then, calling it mealy bay is fine, or should I change it to just bay? I wish there was a way to keep the newborn color, it's so cute! Haha
Also, your signature is the bomb. :D

Haha, thanks ;)

I would change to just bay (though it would be nice if they kept that kind of foal coat!)
