Bay or Dark Chestnut?
It looks to me like this forest mare has sooty, but I cannot tell if she a really dark chestnut, or a really dark wild bay.

Re: Bay or Dark Chestnut?
She's a dark chestnut. When you can't see the ankles for wild bay, you can check the tips of the ears and see if they turn black. She also looks like she might be mealy, which is a lighter tone at her stomach, legs, and near her nose and eyes I believe. I don't think she's sooty, just a rather dark variant of chestnut.RCA wrote:It looks to me like this forest mare has sooty, but I cannot tell if she a really dark chestnut, or a really dark wild bay.

Re: Bay or Dark Chestnut?
She also has tobiano (all white markings in the game are currently caused by tobiano.) And I think you might be right on the mealy/pangaré but it's definitely cryptic! I also think you're right on it not being sooty - the colouration is just a touch too consistent to be sooty.EclipticEnd wrote:She's a dark chestnut. Tobiano Chestnut (or Tobiano Liver Chestnut, if you prefer.)
