Mystery Champagne
https://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/3372867
This stallion I formally thought was Perlino I was giving a closer look since he has a light muzzled but dark eyes. He seems to have the speckled muzzle of a champagne dilution I just can't figure out which specifically. I have other horses with a similar shade so it would be helpful to know so I can change the others.
Is there a way to view a horses genes? Will there be a way in the future perhaps to have a horse gene tested?

This one I assumed was Blue roan with silver but he started to brown around the face.

Is this silver on Blue roan?
My most common base coat seems to be black with chestnut occasionally as I have gotten a palomino and a palomino roan. Not sure if any bays appear any more, if I breed out the A or if I just don't notice past the dilutions.
Somehow however I got a appaloosa spotted blanket on one of my foals, so is random mutation a thing?

Help would be appreciated, thank you.

DNA testing is currently not available but is planned.evilchicken wrote:
As for your horses:
Shavell is Classic Cream - black + champagne + 1x cream. His mother Rayvell is the source of the champagne - she's a Mealy Gold Cream - chestnut + champagne + 1x cream + pangare. Her own mother is the same color. Rayven had champagne on both sides, but her mother is actually the same color as Shavell with an added dun gene.
You are correct that Greyfell is a Silver Blue Roan. The bronzing he is exhibiting is because of his Lp gene. The Lp is also causing the snowflakes on his hips and the extra varnishing of his coat.
Zellshina and Zanbar are also Silver Blue Roan, just without the Lp effects.
Lp does not hide. It will always show in some manner or other, even if there are no spots. So bronzing, varnishing, Lp sooty, etc. In this case the colt got the Lp gene from his mother. It's hard to see because of her light coat and dappling but she does indeed have snowflakes and varnish. Belltreya got her Lp from Scented Riot, who is also very light but also showing varnish. He has Lp on both sides, but it is very visible in his mother who has some very bright snowflakes on her face, neck, and withers. The louder expression (blanket instead of just snowflakes) that your colt shows would be due to hidden white spotting genes (PATN) carried by Zanbar. Zanbar did not have the Lp required for the white spots to show, but when combined with the Lp from Belltreya they result in the blanket patches.

Re: Mystery Champagne
I hadn't even noticed the snowflakes. Thank you for the detailed response.
