Coloring Trouble
I need help with what my colt's color is, as I am having alot of difficulties with it. His parents coloring is nothing like his. His father is black and his mother I -think- is a bay (I will link her)

He'll probably end up darkening over time. Maybe a dark bay.UyTheo wrote:I need help with what my colt's color is, as I am having alot of difficulties with it. His parents coloring is nothing like his. His father is black and his mother I -think- is a bay (I will link her)

Re: Coloring Trouble
Bay Dun. Agouti + Dun on a black based horse. Gene makeup would be A/A, D/-. Best assumption is that one of the parents has a hidden dun gene. The sire has a large progeny and has produced duns, so he has the better chance of being the one to have it.
