Why did this horse suddenly change color?
This has been puzzling me for a while now, and thought I should finally ask about it. A horse that I used to own was black and white when I first adopted him from the Adoption Centre. I noticed after a while that he suddenly changed colors. Not a gradually change, for example black to gray, it was from black and white to brown and white. Even the white spots changed quite a bit. Why and how did this happen?
The horse:
Riku

That's a glitch, you'll find glitches like this in AC (Adoption Centre) horsesKiomi wrote:This has been puzzling me for a while now, and thought I should finally ask about it. I was afraid that it was glitch. If this ever happens again in the future, are there any ways to revert the horse to how it originally looked like?PeacefulOreo wrote:That's a glitch, you'll find glitches like this in AC (Adoption Centre) horsesKiomi wrote:This has been puzzling me for a while now, and thought I should finally ask about it. I think the horse is at the color it's supposed to originally be at, but you'll want to double check with BlackOak2

By pinging BlackOak2? I hope BlackOak2 doesn't need the horse to check, I no longer own Riku.PeacefulOreo wrote:Kiomi wrote:

So far, with the exception of one (I owned the horse), have only ever shown up in the AC. If the horse looks abnormal in the AC, before adoption, chances are it is a glitch horse. Such horses as a red mane and a black tail, or a solid mane with a tobiano-halved neck. These are quite likely glitches and to tell what the horse's actual coat color and color genes are can be a bit more tricky. Usually the mane and tail will explain what the base coat most likely is, but sometimes only the mane will reveal it. The mane appears to always be the correct color, but because these are glitch coats, there is no guarantee that the mane is showing correctly. What we do know for a fact, is that these glitch coats can leap from color to color a couple times (not do, but can) before finally reverting to the true coat at or before their 10th birthday.
Glitch coats are also NOT inheritable. So the gorgeous color that they care will never be passed down. To save such a coat-ed horse, it will need to be kept on a frozen account permanently.
