My horse continues to gain weight and I'm not feeding him. He is now extremely fat and I don't know what to because I am new and can't afford a stall...

Just keep using your days and showing your horse Locally. It's fast and it'll get you cash quick. Yes, it takes a while depending on how much you need, but in the end it's worth it. You'll also get PT from local shows, which can also be used to buy Stables.
