Unspoken Breeding Rules?
Hello everyone! I am new to this game, and currently just trying to get a feel for the mechanics of it, along with starting to think about my eventual breeding goals. I have played a few online horse games in the past, and in all of them there was always some sort of "unspoken" rule about breeding. These rules would never be found in the FAQ's, but definently influenced the value of each horse sold/bought/up for stud.
The rules that I can remember when something like this:
1. NEVER over breed your horse. A maximum of 4 foals was somewhat accepted, but 2-3 was ideal. Any more than 4, and the horse started to lose its value.
2. NEVER inbreed your horse. An inbred horse (even if it was 4 generations ago and only happened once) could lower the value of its foals quite a bit.
3. Crossbreeds were basically a waste of time and money.
From lurking in the forums a bit, I can already see that #3 doesn't apply here, but I am still curious as to the other two, especially as adopted horses cost pony tokens, which can be a bit harder to come by than cash.
Thank you for your time. I just want to make sure that I start off on the right foot and try to avoid as many mistakes as possible.

Re: Unspoken Breeding Rules?
1 and 2 also don't apply. Inbreeding is extremely widely practiced and has no impact on a horse's value to the vast majority of players. This game has so many breeding variables that you have to breed your horses a lot to even come close to a foal you want. The only thing that truly impacts a horse's value is the usefulness of its breed of cross breed, and its rarity. For instance, Thoroughbreds will always pull more money than Altais, because Altais aren't popular and they don't have many, if any, breeds that they contribute to. Thoroughbreds are exactly the opposite.
Signature? I don't need no stinkin' signature! Everybody knows who I am already!
