Ivy Stables

Post by Ivy Stables »

Okay, I've never done this before, so I might not do this correctly, but who cares. This is to keep track of my horse breeding program, and watch how it changes over time. I will fill another one of these each month, and so I can see at my own breeeding over time

A good description of my farm:

A breif explenation of account porpuses

Ivy Stables is a medium-sized classic stables. At the moment, the farm is under construction, and all the procedures are not final. Many updates are happening to the farm, but here is basicly how it's going to work in a month or two when all the preporations (Buying horses, taking player corses, getting a premium upgrade, ect.) is finished. The ain account will hold the money that keeps the farm running, and be on freeze mode constantly, with many horses for sale. During the first stage of breeding only misfits of the breeding program will be sold. All sucsessful horses will be sent from the breeding/ aging out account, ivy stables holding to the main account for freezing until there are enough sucsesful horses for the breeding program to start. All horses on the farm will be trained on the training account, Infinity stables.

Life of a horse on my farm

first, the horse is born on the breeding account, and will be BR checked. If the horse has any reds, it is rehomed. It must have at least a gold speed and stamina comment, ad a green or gold strength comment. If the horse doen't have these comments, but does have at least 5 green/ gold comments, it is still sent to the next step. If a horse has the required speed, strength, and stamina comments, it is also sent on the the next step.

Next, all good horses are sent to training, and are trained in under 3 years. Horses that didn't meet the speed, strength, and stamina requirements are sent to the main account to be sold at 100k (Very cheap for a 5 gold/ green, fully trained, 2-3 year old purebred TB).

Horses that did meet the requirements are tested in local racing shows 3 times, with the times then averaged. For fillies, they must get times of under 2:05.00 to be sent to the next step, otherwise they are sold at 100k. If fillies do make the time cut, they are sent back to the breeding account.

The same testing project is done to colts, and the times are compared to he current top 3 colts/ stallions at the time. If the colt has a faster time than 1 of the stallions, it is aged to breeding age, and goes to the freeze account. The horse in 3rd for fastest average before the new colt/ stallion is tested is sold at 100k. Any stallions/ colts who don't make it into the top 3 fastest I own are also sold at 100k.

Next, the fillies are aged out to breeding age and live the rest of their lives happily delivering foals for the next genoration on my breeding account, and grind in local shows to keep them going. The 1st place, fastest time stallion is put up for stud at $0 so the mares can breed to him. When he runs out of energy, he is sent to the breeding account, aged 1 turn and then returned. When he passes on, the rankings move up and the 2nd place colt moves on up to first, the 3rd up to 2nd, and soon a new 3rd place horse is found

Competing

competing will only begin once I have a sustainble number of horses that get testing times of under 1:00.00. I will breed a solid under 1:00.00 mare and a solid under 1:00.00 stallion, many times and get the foals. The same prosses happens, exept the 2nd fastest stallion of the group is sent to the champing barn (The fastest one goes to breeding) Only stallions are champed, all mares are either sold or kept for breeding. The stallion will be champed in racing to MGCh. (Yellow ribbons) If he breaks a record, he is kept for breeding, if he doesn't, he is sold at 30-50 mil, depending on his addition BR comments. If he breaks a record, he will be bred and the foals tested. The fastest foal will be champed, and if he breaks his father's record, the father is sold at 70-100 million, and the foal goes into breeding. All the other stallions, faster than their father are champed. If they don't break a record, they are sold at 30-50 million. and if they do break a record, they go into breeding and their father is sold at 100-200 million. No horses will be champed past MGCh. because I'm too lazy, and I really like the color of the MGCh. ribbons, it's such a beautiful shade of yellow.

Thanks!!!
