-High Hopes- Pastures: Vanners, Shires, and Clydes

Post by sariaru »

High Hopes Pastures
It is my long-term goal to breed Drum Horses, despite the fact that they are not currently in the game's database.

Image
Breed Standards: The overall impression of the Drum Horse should be one of an elegant heavy horse of great strength and agility. The Drum Horse is a heavy riding horse, and should therefore display the athleticism to allow for competitiveness in all ridden and driven disciplines. The Drum should be a large, well-muscled horse of medium to heavy weight, with good quality bone, an athletic body, a kind expression, and abundant hair (including heavy “feather” on the legs).
  1. Mature size of greater than 16hh
  2. Mixed blood of Shire, Clydesdale, and Gypsy Vanner with each breed being no more than 87% and Gypsy no less than 12.5%
  3. Drum Horse Registry gives no preference to colour, but I have a personal preference for the piebald colouration that favours Gypsy Vanners
  4. Mane and tail should be natural and abundant. Feather is a required characteristic of a Drum Horse.
In order to achieve the ideal Drum Horse, I am currently focused on breeding heavily feathered Shire and Clydesdale stock, as well as working towards Vanners to mix. I eagerly await the addition of white patterns to the game, wherein I will breed tovero colouration back into heavy stock.

Breeds I Am Interested In: I am currently seeking stock in most heavy draft breeds, including Shire, and Clydesdale. In addition, the pony stock for these breeds in of great interest to me, such as the Fell pony, the Galloway pony, and the Dales pony. Some light draft breeds will also be useful, such as Friesians, and of course, Gypsy Vanners. If you have stock of any of these breeds, let me know and I would love to negotiate a price for using a stud or leasing a mare. In return, I am happy to provide my own stock for breeders looking to add back to their own lines, n order to prevent heavy inbreeding.

Planned Breedings
If you are interested in breeding with any of my horses, let me know and I will add your stock here.
Caesura x Eshtarra = Gypsy Vanner (will be heavy CoI, hmm....)
Caesura x Morrignu = Gypsy Vanner
Nerigal x [Friesian x Shire] = Gypsy Vanner

Zarok x Mitanu = Dales x Clydesdale
[Friesian x Shire] x Mitanu = Clydesdale
Fenris x [Friesian x Shire] = Clydesdale

TL;DR: I need Dales, Shires, and Friesians.

Awesome information, are you still looking for Clydesdales? I'm just starting out and learning how to breed better horses, but I've been getting a lot of fillies lately lol. I'd like more colts. Let me know if you are interested in any from my farm :)
