2 tarpan + przewalski horses = exmoor?

I tried breeding two horses to get an exmoor, both of them are tarpan + przewalski but the foal turned out to also be tarpan + przewalski. Is it because the recipes can only be made with a tarpan breeding with a przewalski or did it just happen with this foal? Is it possible to get an exmoor out of them?

Yes. You can produce an Exmoor from those two if the foal's traits are correct. It is not a guarantee.
