Inbreeding Tester
I have an idea! What if you could take a mare and stallion and test to see if they’re related at all, to prevent inbreeding. It could go back a few generations to see. That way horses don’t end up being so inbred.

Re: Inbreeding Tester
Thats a great idea! Inbreeding is a problem I struggle with a lot it would be a lot easier to know if 2 horses were related or not with an inbreeding tester.Aurelia wrote:I have an idea! Re: Inbreeding Tester
This could be a good tool. In dairy goats we have "planned pedigree" simulator to see how related a pairing would be. For now you can just compare pedigrees which takes some time but can be done.Aurelia wrote:I have an idea! Re: Inbreeding Tester
Breeds of goats that are specifically bred for milk production. They are registered and the registry provides tools to look at pedigrees. I was talking irlAurelia wrote:.l

Re: Inbreeding Tester
Like any animal they must be raised right to not develop bad habits. Not saying you did anything wrong, but people try to treat them like dogs, but they are livestock. Anyway the tool we have for them is really cool, but here we have to look by hand.Aurelia wrote:.
