Why Grade Horse?

I breed a mare that's Trakhner*Toroughbred to a stallion that's Norfolk Trotter*Cleverland Bay,
and then i got a Grade Horse out of the breeding, why?
Is the reason i got a Grade Horse because of the Crossing?

Grade horses are horses made up of 3 or more breeds, assuming those three breeds do not combine to make a new breed.
