Grade Horse

So ive been trying to breed out Welsh Mountain Pony, witch took 2 days cause there were none Thoroughbred mares on sale (ill fix that), but now that i have bred [ Thoroughbred x Hackney ] x [ Arabian x Exmoor Pony ] i keep on getting Grade Horses (http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/83797 , http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/83797) instead of Welsh Mountain Pony. My end goal is the American Creme and White breed, and for that i need a Welsh Cob.
So the question is...whould i just use the Grade Horse in hope to get Welsh cob using those + [ Norfolk Trotter x Spanish Barb ] ?

• • Unfortunately you have to follow recipe, you can use Part x breed or Mixed x breed or Half x Breed, but grade wont work :C

so the only way is to try to pick the parents in other breeds b4 welsh to suit the Welsh and not their breeds perfect stats?

That and also check the body size etc of the crosses you are trying to do and see if they are likely to make the type you want. Your stallion is pretty close, but basically you need less height. Crossing back to grade horses of the type you want can sometimes get you the right mixture of breeds needed as the grade doesn't add any new breeds
