You are given $100k to spend on a horse...

Post by Virgo »

Ok, so thought this would be fun and interesting! If you're given $100k on here to spend on a horse, what are the first five things from the list below that you would consider when purchasing this horse? I know the list is limited, but please only answer with the options from below! Please mark them from 1 (most important) to 5.

- Breed rarity
- Aged with a great show record
- Young with great show potential
- Gender
- Reputation of the breeder/seller
- Breeding stat report for number of greens
- Breeding stat report without any negative comments
- Stallion/mare with great production record
- Horse with reputable bloodlines
- How many stars it gets on its breed report
- Color rarity
- Overall appearance of the horse
- Appealing sale ad

People with the most detailed answers will get a free show hosted by me! If you want to try for the free show, just fill out the form below:

Competition level (1-10):

Entry Fee:

I unfortunately won't do breed-specific events because they usually take forever to get enough entries to run, but if you feel like your breed would have enough, shoot a little comment. :)

This is difficult!
important --> less important
  • Breeding stat report for number of greens - this is kind of obvious
  • Overall appearance of the horse - I would prefer a horse with great conformation and a few negative comments (no reds, though) over one with all positive comments that's too far from my ideal conformation
  • Breeding stat report without any negative comments
  • Color rarity - I breed dilutes, but if the horse had great stats that I could improve my breeding stock with, it'd be no problem if it was plain
  • Gender - I generally prefer mares
