Pregnant horses 20y and above

One thing that I have been wondering about for a while is if a mare can die while she is pregnant if she's 20 and above in age?

I have not had a mare die whilst pregnant. I had two mares aged 27- 30 years old. They moved to greener pastures a day or two after they foaled.

No, mares won't die so long as they're pregnant. This is not intended to be a permanent feature and will most likely change in the future.

awe man. lol Well I guess I could forsee in the future horses living into their 30's as long as they're healthy and a a moderate weight....if your horse is of thin then maybe it'll die at 18, 19
