Old Mare and Foals.

If you know you're mares will die at age 21y 3m.
Then if you breed you're mare at age 20y 9m.
Will the foal be born first or will the foal die with the mare?

And how do you get you're horses to get older?

I have one mare that is 25. They don't seem to die when in foal. At least that's what I think from my short amount of experience with her. I have kept her in foal I am ashamed to say.
